BDA are committed to advance research into dyslexia and dyscalculia. This page advertises current research projects that are recruiting participants. BDA have checked the projects and ensured researchers have obtained relevant ethical approval.

Current Research Projects
Research Project summary:
This research project aims to identify barriers and supports to the academic achievement of individuals with dyslexia. Participants will be asked to take a set of tests and watch some videos about academic success will be showed to in order to reveal their perceptions of future success and the factors that hinder their success.
Do you live in the UK? Has your child been diagnosed with DYSLEXIA? Are they in primary or secondary school? If yes, their insights can help researchers at in supporting students with dyslexia. Our study takes about 1h and is paid with a £10 voucher

Research Project:
A project exploring the experiences of neurodivergent individuals and how they navigate social pressure to apply coping mechanisms such as 'masking' or 'mirroring'. This survey asks about themes including belongingness, language use, and psychological distress.

A study on inclusive environments in Master's programs in hospitality for neurodiverse individuals.
This is a funded research project based at University of Bedfordshire.
Audience:
We seek neurodiverse hospitality staff for interviews and focus groups.
