This course follows on from the Practical Solutions for Dyscalculia (Level 2). The OCN Level 2 Accreditation workbook must be completed prior to commencing on the OCN Level 3 workbook.
Who is it suitable for?
This course is suitable for anyone wishing to understand how to effectively support learners with maths difficulties and dyscalculia in the classroom. The course will enable participants to develop their practical knowledge and understanding of how to support learners who struggle with maths, including those with dyscalculia.
Learning Aims
- To develop practical knowledge and skills, of how to make learning maths accessible, enjoyable and reduce maths anxiety.
- To demonstrate understanding and application of CPA and multisensory learning approaches, when supporting or teaching learners' who find learning maths challenging.
To demonstrate a reflective practice: by reflecting upon the support given, the impact on the learner and whether a different resource or teaching idea could have improved outcomes.
This course can lead to an OCN Level 3 Accreditation.
